Resources

Tools, assessments and useful links

A curated collection of tools and resources I find genuinely useful — for self-understanding, reflection and growth. Some are things I use in our work together; others are here for you to explore independently at any time.

Jamie’s tools

New Client Intake Survey

A short survey to complete before your first session. Helps me understand your background, what’s brought you here and what you’re hoping for — so we can hit the ground running rather than spending the first session on basics.

Self-Coaching Tool

A structured self-reflection tool I developed to support independent thinking between sessions — or as a standalone exercise for anyone wanting to get clearer on where they are and what they want. Works well before a discovery session too.

Self-assessments

Attachment Style Assessment

Self-assessment

Take the free, 5 minute attachment style quiz to explore how childhood conditioning manifests in your adult relationships

Attachment Topography Calculator

Self-assessment

By Dr. Amir Levine, Columbia University psychiatrist and author of the bestselling Attached. Unlike most attachment quizzes, this maps your attachment patterns across multiple relationships — because your style can differ from one relationship to the next. More nuanced and very accessible.

VIA Character Strengths Survey

Self-assessment

Identifies your top character strengths from 24 evidence-based qualities — the foundation of Positive Psychology. Understanding your strengths is one of the most reliable pathways to wellbeing, engagement and meaning. Free basic results.

Enneagram Type Assessment

Self-assessment

The Enneagram is a rich framework for understanding personality, motivation and the deeper patterns that drive our behaviour. The Enneagram Institute offers the most thorough and well-researched version of the type assessment. A useful starting point — though the real depth comes from working with the results over time.

Professional bodies

Gestalt Therapy Australia (GTA)

Professional body

The peak body for Gestalt therapy in Australia. A good starting point if you want to understand more about the Gestalt approach — what it is, how it works, and why it’s at the centre of how I practice. Also lists accredited Gestalt practitioners if you’re looking for a referral.

Australian Institute of Emotion Focused Therapy (AIEFT)

Professional body

Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) is one of the most researched approaches for working with emotion, relationships and trauma. The AIEFT is the Australian home for EFT training, resources and practitioner referrals.

The Enneagram Institute

Professional body

The leading international body for Enneagram research, training and resources. The Riso-Hudson Enneagram Type Indicator (RHETI) is the most widely used and validated Enneagram instrument available. Worth visiting for depth on the types and their development paths.
